"A good craftsman never blames his tools". This is one of many sayings you will invariably hear if you decide to take a career path in the kitchen. I secretly never really understood this saying as surely a good craftsman would be nothing without his tools.. and it leads me to think that surely if you have malfunctioning tools, say an oven that doesn't work, then you can only be held back in your craft...
