Earlier this week on the blog I promised a video of Iran showing you some of the sights and foods of the country. As relationships with the Western world continue to progress I can only hope that this, and your own general interest, has sparked some excitement to visit this vast country. Oh yeah, I also owe a list of noteworthy restaurants to stop in on don’t I?!...
Restaurants are a massive part of the Iranian lifestyle and here are couple that I thought were absolutely worth mentioning after my travels through the country over the past 2 weeks:
On a more advisory note, getting to Iran is a stress-free flight from London to Tehran via Istanbul, spread over a total of 7 hours flying time (£176 via SkyScanner if, like us, you are trying to keep the costs down). I was lucky enough to have my wife’s family home as a base, but all the major cities have hotels (from £40 per room per night) that are more than accommodating. Iran is an Islamic Country so, as I hope you do with ALL countries that you would visit, ensure that as a visitor you have done your research and understand that apply to all of the population (including us tourists).
